My Music

Original music, selected scores, and pieces that begin on the page and live beyond it

This is where the musical side of the site comes together.

My work moves between composition, arrangement, notation, and playback, but it all begins in the same place: a love of melody, colour, atmosphere, and the way music can tell a story without needing to say a word.

Some pieces begin quietly and intimately. Others grow into something broader and more orchestral. What brings them together is a shared musical voice, and a way of writing that cares just as much about character and shape as it does about craft.

This page is a place to explore that world more directly, through selected works, score pages, and the growing collection of works for Solo Guitar, String Quartet and Orchestra.

Rather than sending everything straight into a plain shop page, I wanted each score to be represented fully, and as such if you click ‘View The Score’ on any piece below, you'll see each work has its own page, with detailed notes, score details, and previews of playback and a sample of the score that's downloadable, so you can see how each score is laid out.

From there, if you want to take the score away with you, you can head straight through to the shop.

The Great Hedge Chase

The Great Hedge Chase string quartet score by Paul Del-Nevo

Written for string quartet, in Rondo form

The 1st movement of the Feline Fine suite

The Great Hedge Chase is the opening movement of The Feline Fine suite, a string quartet work inspired by the small dramas of garden life. Opening in A♭ major, the principal theme is presented and revisited in a sequence of variations, driving the rondo structure forward. A modulation to E♭ major opens out into F major for the final part of the movement.
